CPCE Training and Exam Location: A one-day Fast Track training course will be taught on January 14 from 10:30am - 5:30pm. The exam will be in conjunction with The Special Event on January 15 from 9:00am - 12:00pm.

This year’s fall campaign was amazingly successful and met and exceeded the National Membership and Chapter Relations Committee goal of 4,000 members.
Here’s what the numbers looked like:
A total of 615 members joined; 266-new and 349 renewing members used the fall campaign discount.
NACE chapters excelled in their efforts to make NACE a part of the lives of the catering and event professionals in their community. Winning chapters, in chapter size categories, are listed below. Remember, 1st place will receive a full registration to the 2010 Leadership Summit and 2nd place will receive 50% off of a Leadership Summit registration.

2nd place: Austin - 10
Chapters 51-100
1st place: Detroit - 26
2nd place: Denver - 20

In addition, chapter leaders championed the benefits of NACE to the next generation and recruited a total of 179 new students in just two months! The chapter who signed up the most new students, in each chapter category, will receive one comp Leadership Summit registration for a student. And the winners are…

The Reno-Tahoe NACE Second Annual Tabletop Competition will be at the Silver Legacy in the Reno Ballroom on March 30, 2010.
This event will feature Pastry Chefs showing off their most fabulous creations, as well as the latest design work from our Fabulously Talented local area Event Designers.
Planning is now underway for what is expected to be the best "Design Event" of the year. Reno Tahoe NACE has partnered with the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. With help from their PR Department, we will be working to make this event open to the Public. Proceeds will be divided equally between our chapter and the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.

| 2009-10-28: CATERING / CONVENTION SERVICES MANAGER NEEDED
The Silver Legacy Resort Casino is currently seeking adynamic and highly motivated Catering and Convention Services Manager.
Qualified candidates must have previous eperience in a high volume establishment, excellent communication skills and a solid sales background while presenting a professional image at all times. A strong background in Food an dBeverage is preferable.
This position is responsible for all aspects of planning, oversight and post conference follow-up for convention sales groups and social catering functions
