Join the Reno Tahoe NACE Chapter for our first ever Christmas in November Tabletop Competition.  This is the perfect opportunity to showcase your creativity and tabletop design ideas to  Northern Nevada Event Professionals. 

Prizes will be awarded to the winners in two categories,  Traditional and Contemporary. 

Entry into the competition is $50.  All are welcome to compete.  Celebrity judges Shelby Sheehan and Bill Frankmore from KRNV Channel 4 will be judging the competition to be held at the RSCVA Ballroom.  The winning tabletop designs will be featured in the March issue of Wedding Affaire Magazine.

Entertainment for the evening will be provided by Jeff Leep and The WORLDS Most Dangerous Party Band.

Although the summer season has come to an end, Reno Tahoe seems to stay busy clear through the end of October every year.  Despite the economy, I hope everyone is staying busy throughout our Special Event Season. 

For those of you who had an opportunity to attend the September NACE meeting at the Atlantis Resort & Casino, all I can say is WOW.  The Atlantis really put the WOW into The WOW Factor event that they hosted on September 17.    From the amazing food presentations throughout the room and the opportunity to view the beautfiul new renovation at the Atlantis Property, to our amazing presentation from Robb Carroll of the RSCVA  on Lighting Design Trends.  The event was truly wonderful.

If you had to miss this event, please mark your calendar for October 15th, as we enjoy a Dine Around Event in South Lake Tahoe, presented by Harrah's Lake Tahoe, Harvey's Lake Tahoe and Embassy Suites.

CATERING / CONVENTION SERVICES MANAGER NEEDED

The Silver Legacy Resort Casino is currently seeking adynamic and highly motivated Catering and Convention Services Manager.

Qualified candidates must have previous eperience in a high volume establishment, excellent communication skills and a solid sales background while presenting a professional image at all times.  A strong background in Food an dBeverage is preferable.

This position is responsible for all aspects of planning, oversight and post conference follow-up for convention sales groups and social catering functions
